East Bay Rowing Club, of Oakland, Calif., will host its annual fundraiser on October 17 with a goal of $25,000.

Similar to many other clubs, revenue has fallen because of the pandemic, and funds raised will be used to support program operations as well as need-based financial assistance.

“We are thrilled this fall to welcome more than 60 new and returning youth rowers,” said Patti Buck, program director.

“A successful fundraiser provides us with the necessary funds to continue to offer scholarships to any rower who needs financial support and to purchase new boats to accommodate all athletes.”

Contributions can be made at the club’s GoFundMe.
