Robert Zagunis has been named Chair of the USRowing Board of Directors, replacing acting chair Don Reynolds. Reynolds filled in after the previous chair and vice chair both stepped down in May, following the resignation of CEO Amanda Kraus at the end of March.

“Robert brings a rare combination of rowing credibility, financial discipline, nonprofit governance experience, and steady leadership,” said Don Reynolds, former Acting Board Chair of USRowing. “At this important moment for USRowing, the Board is focused on continuity, organizational strength, and forward momentum.”

USRowing, the national governing body of the sport, will hold a special election to fill the current northeast regional representative term through February, 2029.
