    Park Breaks Team 2k Record Ahead of Oregon State’s Spring Season

    Evan Park, a senior on the #20 Oregon State women’s rowing team, set the team 2k record at OSU’s annual C.R.A.S.H. Beavs indoor erg event earlier this season, pulling an impressive 6:37, The Daily Barometer reports. This beat the previous record of 6:41, held by Alina Hagstrom, a U.S. senior national team member and Worlds silver-medalist in the eight.

    Park was named to the CRCA Athletes to Watch list and currently sits in six-seat of their varsity eight that opened the season with wins over Washington State and Miami.

    “I’m excited to see what we can do with this lineup of people,” Park said. “I can set the school record for the erg, but I can’t row the boat by myself.”
