    Olympic and Paralympic Trials Start Today

    Olympic and Paralympic dreams are on the line this week in Sarasota as athletes compete across 10 boat classes for a spot at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Running from April 4-7, the 2024 U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Team Trials will determine who will represent the U.S. in Paris in the women’s single sculls, men’s pair, and women’s pair, as those events have already qualified for the Games.  The winners of the men’s single sculls, men’s double sculls, lightweight men’s double sculls, men’s quadruple sculls, women’s quadruple sculls, PR1 men’s single sculls, and PR2 mixed double sculls will go on to compete at the World Rowing Final Olympic & Paralympic Qualification Regatta in Lucerne in late May.

    Racing kicks off today with time trials, followed by quarterfinals on Friday, April 5, semifinals on Saturday, April 6, and finals on Sunday, April 7. Finals and semifinals will stream live on Peacock, NBC.com, and the NBC Sports app, beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET. each day.

    The first two Paralympic crews were named back in January and the camp-selected Olympic athletes were named last week.
