The Big Ten Invitational draws 23 NCAA Division I women’s programs to Florida’s Nathan Benderson Park Friday and Saturday for what will play a major role in determining the all-important Pocock CRCA Poll rankings. Those rankings will determine which programs, in addition to league championship automatic qualifiers, receive bids for the NCAA Championships.

The regatta includes all 11 Big Ten rowing schools plus 12 invited programs, making the event bigger, by one, than the NCAA Championships. Most—13 of the 23—of the participating programs are currently ranked in the top 25, while most of the rest are vying to break into the next poll, due out Tuesday.
