In late March, Michigan’s Adrian College announced it was adding men’s and women’s rowing to its growing roster of sports, making the private liberal arts college the first NCAA Division III program in the state to offer women’s rowing. According to an announcement, the Bulldogs hope to have a head coach in place by summer in order to begin recruiting student-athletes for its inaugural season as a club sport. A move to varsity competition is scheduled for the following year. The upstart program has also set its sights on a new boathouse.
