Andy and Linda McLane have given $3 million dollars to name The McLane Family Chief High Performance Officer position through the LA2028 Olympic and Paralympic quadrennial, USRowing announced.
“Our family is thrilled to support USRowing’s High Performance Program with this gift,” said Andy McLane, a retired senior advisor at TA Associates, a $65 billion private equity firm. “We have been so impressed with the impact that Josy Verdonkschot has made since his arrival, and through this gift, we would like to show our appreciation and support for the structure and direction that he has provided for the U.S. High Performance Program and our elite U.S. athletes.”
“Totally happy,” is Verdonkschot, who has led U.S. National Team efforts, including gold and silver medals at the Paris Olympics and a silver in the Paris Paralympics, since being hired in December of 2021.
“It’s going in the right direction,” said Verdonkschot. “This is really helpful.”
