Rowing’s enduring Boston-Philly rivalry flared in February as the New England Patriots prepared to meet the Philadelphia Eagles with a good-natured social media skirmish breaking out between organizers at the Head of the Charles and the Head of the Schuylkill regattas. The friendly back-and-forth, which included some inspired Photoshop work, led to a bet in which the losing team agreed to donate $152—a nod to the 52nd Super Bowl—to the winner’s local water/park clean-up organization. “Rivalries may set the stage,” tweeted @hosr, “but teamwork and camaraderie always win.”
