Fields Set for IRA, NCAA National Championships

The IRA Stewards and Commissioner Laura Kunkemueller have announced the teams invited to participate in the 2026 Intercollegiate Rowing Association National Championship regatta for men’s and lightweight women’s varsity programs. The IRA welcomes the schools listed below based on the performance of their varsity eights and subsequent receipt of an Automatic Qualifying or at-Large bid, to Lake Natoma on May 29th – 31st. The 2026 NCAA Rowing Championships for women are set for May 29-31 at Lake Lanier Olympic Park in Gainesville, Georgia, hosted by Lake Lanier Olympic Park and the University of North Georgia.

The NCAA Division I Women’s Rowing Championships are comprised of 22 teams and provides three events (I Eights, II Eights and Fours). The Division II championships provide for a maximum field of six teams in two events, requiring an eight and a four with  coxswain from each school.
