With the cancellation Friday of the ACRA Championship, the 2020 collegiate season has been officially eliminated.

USRowing announced Tuesday afternoon the postponement of Olympic & Paralympic Team Trials II. The announcement came after statements from the IOC and FISA outlining their plan to proceed with the Olympics and continue to work together to assign remaining Olympic spots.

All last week, a cascading series of COVID-19 driven cancelations and postponements of the spring rowing schedule on the high school, collegiate, and national team events, has left athletes and coaches on all levels uncertain about their rowing futures. That uncertainty grew for national team aspirants with the FISA decision to cancel all remaining Olympic events.

Minutes after the USRowing announcement, the Intercollegiate Rowing Association announced the cancelation of 118th IRA National Championship Regatta.
