Foot of the Charles RECAP (Women)

On November 15 the women’s edition of the Foot of the Charles took place, with local universities sending out their top eights and fours.

Northeastern University and Radcliffe battled for first place in the varsity eights, with NU earning a nearly 4-second victory. Both eights finished way ahead of the pack, with third-place Boston College more than 40 seconds behind Radcliffe.

In the novice eight, Radcliffe started first and won decisively, beating Boston University by more than 18 seconds. The ‘B’ and ‘A’ entries from Boston College were far off the lead crews, but finished within two seconds of each other for third and fourth place.

Only four crews competed in the varsity four. BC took first, with Radcliffe, URI and a ‘B’ entry from BC rounding out the results.
